Mid Argyll RFC hosted a super successful U14 Girls Lift Off event on Sunday at Ropework Park in Lochgilphead.
Teams were combined to play eight-a-side games of 20 minutes - 10 minutes per half. Sides from Mid Argyll and Cartha, Campbeltown and Hamilton, Mull and West of Scotland and Waysiders Drumpellier all lined up.
There were impressive skills on display throughout the day and noticeably great competitive rucks from everyone, especially Mid Argyll who managed to turn over a good few balls in open play.
Mid Argyll girls came away with one win and two draws, with everyone scoring at least one try.
Drew Buckley, girls U14s coach for Mid Argyll RFC, said: "We are so proud of their continued growth and development as individuals and as a team.
"Lastly, a massive thank you to all the players and coaches who made the journey to us and created a great atmosphere for the day.
"To the coaches who stepped in to referee, and lastly to the parents, volunteers and one member of our boys team who gave up their day to cater for all of the hungry players, it doesn’t go unnoticed.
"We look forward to travelling to Mull for the next event hopefully in the next few weeks."
