This week Ann considers the residents of the Glen Croe area. After decades of machinery working night and day after landslides and to create barriers to material coming down the hillsides, she ponders whether local wildlife will be pleased to get some peace once all the big machines have left this stretch of the A83 and a solution is built.

It remains to be seen how long they will have to wait…
