Both families are very happy to announce the engagement, on February 21, 2019, while on holiday in Mexico, of Suzie, daughter of Logan and Frances Taylor, Glasgow, and Alasdair, son of Alasdair and Fiona McPhee, Lorndale, Campbeltown.
MCMILLAN – BROWN – At Lorne Street Church, Campbeltown, on February 28, 1969, by the late Rev J Hood, Iain to Margaret. Present address, Belmara, Limecraigs Road, Campbeltown.
COOK – Peacefully, on February 23, 2019, at Glenaray Ward, Mid Argyll Hospital, with his family by his side, John McPhee Cook, aged 76 years, of 3 Allt Na Ceardaich, Furnace, beloved husband of the late Christina, loving father of Marion, John, Nancy, Gilbert and Gail, much loved grandfather and great grandfather to many and a dear brother and uncle to all the family. A good neighbour and dear friend to many. Funeral service will be held at Cumlodden Parish Church, Furnace, on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11.00am, thereafter to Kilevin Cemetery, Crarae.

CRAWFORD – On February 21, 2019, at Glenaray Ward, Mid Argyll Hospital, Lochgilphead, John Crawford, in his 80th year, beloved husband of the late Donella Crawford, brother of James and the late Peter and brother-in-law of Wilma. At John’s request a private interment has taken place.
MCWHIRTER – Peacefully, at the Campbeltown Hospital, on February 24, 2019, Francis McWhirter, in his 92nd year, 22 Longrow South, Campbeltown, dearly beloved husband of Madge McKenzie and a much loved and loving uncle. Funeral service in the St Kieran’s RC Church, on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 1.00pm, thereafter to Kilkerran Cemetery. Friends please accept this intimation and invitation. Family flowers only please. A retiral collection will be held in aid of the Parish Needs Fund, St Kieran’s Church.
Peacefully, at Campbeltown Hospital, on February 26, 2019, Ian Dudley Teesdale, in his 88th year, Ardbeg, High Askomil, Campbeltown, dearly beloved husband of the late Jean Teesdale, much loved father of John, Elizabeth and Diana and a loving grandpa of Finn, Sally, Kini, Aimilia and Hugh. Funeral service in the Lorne and Lowland Parish Church, on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 1.00pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. A private cremation will take place at a later date. Family flowers only please. A retiral collection will be held in aid of the Acute Ward, Campbeltown Hospital.
WATSON – Peacefully at home, 11 Glebe Street, Campbeltown, on February 21, 2019, Amy Orr McMillan, in her 95th year, dearly beloved wife of the late John Watson, much loved mother of the late Karen and a loving sister of Daniel and Charlie. Funeral service in the Highland Parish Church, on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 1.00pm, thereafter to Kilkerran Cemetery. Friends please accept this intimation and invitation. WAGGETT – Dot and family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all relatives, friends and neighbours for the cards, flowers and messages of sympathy on the sudden and sad loss of Mike. Also to everyone who attended the service and graveyard. Your support was very much appreciated. Special thanks to Flora for her help and support, making things easier for Dot during this time. We wish to thank the Rev William Crossan for the lovely and personal service on Mike’s life, David McEwan for music, before, during and after the service, Kenneth and Rhys Blair for their professional care and compassion shown to us at this sad time, and the Ardshiel Hotel for excellent catering after our return from the graveyard. Special thanks are given to the police and ambulance men for the compassion and care shown to us on our sudden loss. The retiral collection was donated to the Salvation Army, as per Mike’s wishes.
