Lochgilphead’s Celtic and Pictish Festival is back.

On Saturday August 3, Lochgilphead’s front green will be swarmed with visiting figures of yesteryear, brandishing swords and helmets.

In a celebration of our ancestors, last year’s festival included battle re-enactments and weapons demonstrations, various living history demonstrations and workshops where adults and children can try their hand at traditional crafts such as spinning, weaving, stone carving, woodwork, dressing up and blowing a Celtic war horn.

Visitors will get a taste of what life was like for those who came before us.
