GALBRAITH – Peacefully, at the St Vincent’s Hospice, Johnston, Howood, on January 25, 2019, Flora McIlchere McMurchy, in her 84th year, Broom Terrace, Johnston, dearly beloved wife of the late John Galbraith and a much loved sister of Margaret McKinven.
LOGIE – Suddenly, at his home in Eastling, Faversham, Kent, on January 28, 2019, Dr James R Logie, aged 50, caring husband of Trish and proud father of Jamie and Katherine. A dear brother to John and a much missed son of James and the late Rhona Logie, Inverneil. A memorial service will be held in Lochgilphead Parish Church, details at a later date.
MARTIN – Suddenly but peacefully, at home, 29A Albyn Avenue, Campbeltown, on January 19, 2019, Ronald Martin (Ronnie), in his 68th year, much loved dad of David and Nichola, loving granda of David, Joshua, Joseph, Kyra, Mathew, John, Craig, Jenna, Faith and Grace, a loving great granda of Elijah and a much loved father-in-law. An interment service will take place in Kilkerran Cemetery, Campbeltown, on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11.00am, to which all friends are respectfully invited.

ARMOUR – The family of the late Maimie Armour would like to thank relatives and friends for all expressions of sympathy received on the loss of their aunt. Sincere thanks to Rev William Crossan for personal and comforting service, at home and graveside, to Kenny and Rhys Blair, funeral directors, for making a very stressful and emotional time so much easier with their compassion and professionalism, to the Ardshiel Hotel for their hospitality and excellent catering, to all staff at Kintyre Care Home for the love and care given to Maimie over the last year, and to all who paid their respects at house and Kilkerran Cemetery.
CAMERON – Charles, Duncan and their families would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the many phone calls, visits, messages and kind expressions of sympathy following the recent sad loss of Sandy. Our thanks are extended to the doctors and care teams at the local hospital and also at the RAH, Paisley. Grateful thanks to Rev David Carruthers for leading the service, and to Dougie Philand and Ian Morrison for their personal contributions to a very fitting service and tribute to Sandy. Thanks to Donald MacDonald Funeral Directors for their efficient and caring arrangements; to Morna for beautiful floral tributes, and to the Stag Hotel for catering for the large numbers in attendance. Finally, our thanks to all who attended at the church and graveside to pay their respects, and in particular the wider Brethren who travelled from far and wide to honour Sandy’s wishes. The retiral collection raised over £1,500 which will be split between the MS Centre, Lochgilphead, Macmillan Nurses Mid Argyll and SAAS.
MCGLYNN – David, Shona and their families would like to thank all relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for the many kind expressions of sympathy, flowers, phone calls and messages received following the sad loss of Cathie. Special thanks are extended to everyone who assisted Cathie in her last few years in Brodie Crescent, and to Nan and her staff at Ardfenaig Residential Home, Ardrishaig for their unfailing support, care and kindness given to Cathie during her time there. Grateful thanks to Rev Hilda Smith for a most personal and uplifting service; to Donald MacDonald Funeral Directors for their guidance and caring arrangements, to the Stag Hotel for fine purvey, and to Corrinna for the lovely floral tributes. Finally, our thanks to all who attended at the church and graveside to pay their respects, your support was greatly appreciated by us all. The retiral collection raised over £400 for Ardfenaig Comfort Fund and Dementia UK.
