Our Castle of Kings is looking for volunteers.

The Tarbert archaeological group is looking for volunteers to help with a dig that will take place at Tarbert Castle.

The exciting opportunity to examine the grounds around the historical site will be available on various dates, starting at 10am until 4pm with breaks for lunch and tea.

In addition to the volunteers who wish to dig, the group needs ambassadors to talk to visitors about what the group is doing and help with catering and other peripheral tasks.

There are dates running from Monday May 13 until Thursday June 27 with weekend dates available.

Robert MacPhail said: ‘We will remain flexible and will make every effort to accommodate everyone’s availability, needs, abilities and concerns. After all, it’s not a work camp and our aim is for everyone to enjoy the experience.’

If you are interested in getting involved there is a booking form available at the request of Robert MacPhail, who can be contacted at sonamarg@btinternet.com
