MACKINVEN – Peacefully, at Craig En Goyne, Nursing Home, Kilsyth, on January 17, 2019, Catherine Rankin McVicar, in her 88th year, formerly of Limecraigs, Campbeltown, dearly beloved wife of the late Ian MacKinven, much loved mum of Donald and William, and loving granny of Fraser, Euan and Stuart. Funeral service in the Highland Parish Church, Campbeltown, today Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1.00pm, thereafter to Kilkerran Cemetery. Friends please accept this intimation and invitation. MCGLYNN – Peacefully, at the Mid Argyll Hospital, on January 17, 2019, Catherine (Cathie) McGlynn, née Jackson, aged 86 years, of Ardfenaig Residential Home, Ardrishaig and formerly of 16 Brodie Crescent, Lochgilphead, beloved wife of the late Teddy, loving mother of Shona and David, and cherished granny of Tom, Karen, Fiona and Roddy. A dear auntie to all the family. A good neighbour and friend to many, and a much respected former work colleague. Funeral service will be held in Lochgilphead Parish Church, on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 12.00 noon, thereafter to Achnabreac Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired, to Ardfenaig Comfort Fund and Dementia UK. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.
ROSS – Peacefully at University Hospital Hairmyres, Glasgow on January 19, 2019, Robert Alexander Ross, retired fisherman, formerly of Penlea, Tarbert, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Wilson, dearly loved father of Bruce, dear father-in-law of Gail, and a loving and much loved grandfather of Olivia Margaret. Funeral Service at Tarbert Parish Church on Monday January 28, 2019 at 12 noon, interment thereafter at Carrick Cemetery, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Transport by bus will be available from the church to cemetery and return. Family flowers only, donations please to The Fisherman’s Mission.
ROWAN – Suddenly at home on January 21, 2019, Morag Catherine McCallum, beloved wife of the late Jamie, loving and much loved mother of James, mother-in-law of Kelly and devoted granny of Chloe and Isla. Much loved sister and auntie. Funeral private.

DUNCAN – The family of the late Robert Duncan (Bobby) would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for all their cards, flowers and expressions of sympathy following the sad loss of Bobby. Special thanks to Carrgomm, the Acute Ward, Sharon and Fiona for their dedicated care and attention of Bobby over the last few years, and to Tommy for his regular visits. Grateful thanks to Rev William Crossan for his very fitting and comforting service, to Kenneth and Rhys Blair for their personal attention and professional services, and to the Ardshiel Hotel for their excellent tea. Finally, our thanks to everyone who paid their respects at the church and graveside, and to all who contributed to the retiral collection for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland and the Acute Ward, Campbeltown Hospital.
