On April 22 the Stronachullin competition was held for the Mid Argyll Insurance Services Cup.

Archie MacGilp Snr was first with six brown trout weighing four pounds. Dugald MacGilp was second with seven fish weighing three pounds six ounces. George Mitchell was third with three fish weighing two pounds 15 ounces.

On April 29 the first club loch competition of the Mid Argyll Insurance Services Cup was held, for the Pat Ward Memorial Cup.

Archie MacGilp Snr was first with six brown trout weighing four pounds five ounces.

Donald McGregor was second with seven trout weighing four pounds five ounces. Dugald MacGilp was third with five trout weighing four pounds two ounces. With only three ounces  separating the top four anglers, the competition is hotting up ahead of the competitions to come.
