The world’s best pipe band led the parade to Inveraray’s war memorial in the morning, ahead of a moving act of Remembrance.
But the afternoon had a more showbiz feel.
The BBC came to the Loch Fyne-side town on a gorgeously bright autumn afternoon with snow-tipped hills as a backdrop.
Reigning Grade One world champions Inveraray and District Pipe Band were the focus for the TV crew, which had travelled from Glasgow on Sunday November 12 to capture the champions in action – amid Argyll’s stunning scenery.
The footage will be used as the only recorded portion of the BBC’s live Hogmanay show.
