Good news about the drainage problems on the path at McIntyre Terrace, Lochgilphead.

Residents nearby and users were worried that the work had not started on improving drainage.

‘This has been a long-standing problem and, with another winter about to come upon us, the issue needs to be resolved,’ said Councillor Douglas Philand.

Iain McLeod, repairs manager for Mid Argyll, Kintyre, Lorn and Isles Argyll with Argyll Community Housing Association, confirmed that work would be starting soon. He said: ‘We will be issuing the work to the contractor and would hope that they would be in a position to start within the next couple of weeks.’
