Happy world porridge day! The global event to celebrate the famous Scottish dish was on Tuesday and Mary’s Meals, the Argyll-based charity joined in.
Staff, volunteers and friends at the charity’s shop in Lochgilphead held a porridge day.
Mary’s Meals partnered with Stoats, the porridge company, to raise funds.
Mary’s Meals helps set up school feeding programmes to encourage children to attend classes. More than 1.2 million children have a meal every school day thanks to them.
In Africa, children are served a vitamin-enriched maize porridge before lessons begin.
