Festival treat

Best of the West was another cracker of a weekend.

By all accounts the extra Friday was a success for the audience and organisers, so we may well see this back as a regular feature.

The bands were excellent, the beer and whisky went down a treat and the fantastic food kept body and soul together.

Roll on next year.

Selfless actions

Even for someone who saves lives for a living as a firefighter, David MacInnes has gone above and beyond in his selfless actions.

He is out to prove there is nothing to fear from stem cell donation, and much, much more to be gained.
