A group which performed at MAMA Fest two weeks ago has donated its earnings from the event to a Mid Argyll good cause.
Melfort Ukuleles donated £75 to Lochgilphead’s recovery cafe Grub’s Up after its smash musical Sunday performance at the music and arts festival.
Gill Hutton of the cafe said: ‘Grub’s Up would like to give a huge big thank you to Melfort Ukuleles for its more than generous donation of £75 from MAMA Fest.
‘It is much appreciated and we hope you [Melfort Ukeleles] drop into the cafe for your lunch as our way of saying thanks.’
Melfort Ukuleles is a community ukulele group which meets each week to ‘enjoy strumming and singing together’.
Grub’s Up recovery cafe is designed to support and provide opportunities to improve the lives of people suffering with mental health or addiction issues through peer support, great food and having a laugh.
