MAMA Fest organiser Liz Miller received a MAMA themed cake as a thank you for her efforts over the weekend. The cake was created by an old school friend of Liz, Rowan Patterson, who now lives in Glasgow.

Teacher Rowan said: ‘I wanted to make a cake with the logo as a thank you to Liz and the team for keeping music live and for giving the community a fine night out.’

Rowan drove from Glasgow especially to deliver the cake to her old school friend.

Liz said: ‘I haven’t seen Rowan for 10 years. It was such a lovely surprise to see her and to receive the cake. It’s absolutely beautiful.’

The cake was donated as a gift for the committee and was duly devoured over a cup of coffee on the Sunday of the festival.
