New Lochgilphead ladies golf member Fiona McLeod was the winner of the 2017 Ladies Open.

Joined by ladies from clubs in Shiskine, Brodick, Tarbert and Taynuilt, Fiona scored 34 points, beating Alice Henderson from Shiskine with a better inward half.  In third place was Sheena Ferguson from Tarbert with 32 points.

Ann May from Shiskine was the winner in the scratch results with 75 strokes; Susan Butchard from Brodick came second with 84 strokes and Anne McCalman from Taynuilt was third with 87 strokes.

The senior Trophy was won by Ann May from Shiskine.

The club would like to thank all the players for coming and thanks as well to Jim and Ryan for preparing the course, especially Jim who was out swishing the greens at 6.30am.

The gents section provided breakfast rolls, ran the bar, spotted the balls, and signed in the players. They also coped with the raffle, so thanks to Jim, Ryan, David, Tommy, Douglas, Alex and Colin.
