The 151st Kintyre Agricultural Show at Anderston Park was blessed with clear skies and sun for most of the day.

The quality of entries at last week’s show was on a par with previous years, with many from Kintyre and further afield.

The champion of champions award went to this year’s Highland Show female champion, Jean McLachlan’s Bluefaced Leicester, up against Willie Ralston and his dairy champion, John McCallum with the beef champion, Callum MacPhail and his champion Clydesdale, Keren Paterson with best dog in show, Echo, and Heather Dixon, the overall champion in the horse and pony section, on Blossom Hill.

Jean MacLachlan won the John D McConnachie Cup for champion Bluefaced Leicester and the Tithebarn Cup for overall sheep champion. 50_c32kintyreshow65_jeanmclachlantrophy
