As school exam results drop through Mid Argyll letterboxes and arrive via text message, support and guidance is available to pupils.
Lochgilphead High School staff are available to offer help.
On the school’s Facebook page, staff posted: ‘We very much hope everyone gets what they are hoping for. In the event of any problems please phone the school on 01546 602598 or message the Lochgilphead Joint Campus Facebook page and Mr Smith will get back to you asap.
‘Anyone who needs to change classes in the light of exam results should come to the school on Friday morning, August 11, between 9.30am and midday, and no appointment is necessary.’
For anyone worried about results, Scotland, Skills Development Scotland’s Exam Results Helpline opened on Tuesday August 8.
Qualified careers advisers are on hand to help young people who may not have received the results they were hoping for, and those who have done better than anticipated.
It will be open from 8am until 8pm on August 8 and 9 and from 9am until 5pm from 10 until August 16 . The number to call is 0808 100 8000.
Leading children’s charity’s Childline has also set up a helpline – 0800 1111 – with trained counsellors to support Scottish school pupils who have received their results.
Post-results information for pupils and parents is also available at myworldofwork.co.uk. There is also information about Modern Apprenticeships and Foundation Apprenticeships, at apprenticeships.scot.
