MUSIC struck the right chord as the 38th annual Mid Argyll Music Festival opened in Ardrishaig.

Featuring competitions for spoken pieces, song and instrument, the festival provides a stage for people young and old to demonstrate their skills – and offers great entertainment to the audience.

Inveraray motorcycle business wins £50,000

An Inveraray couple are riding high after their motorbike business won first prize in a national competition.

Clive and Donna Rumbold scooped the maximum £50,000 in a competition  designed to help innovative young Scottish companies to expand and grow, create more jobs and take advantage of opportunities to move into international markets.

Mid Argyll Sports Club open day competition success

After five hours of competition from 120 athletes, Mid Argyll Athletics Club lifted four titles out of a possible 12 in the club’s annual open sports day.

At Lochgilphead Joint Campus in perfect weather, it was Kintyre athletes who were most successful, winning six out of the 12 age categories, with the Oban area taking two.
