Lochfyneside Football Club hung up their boots last week following  series of cancelled games.

The club’s chairman Jim Divers took to social media to break the news to players – barely two years after the team was reformed.

Mid Argyll Sports Club open day competition success

After five hours of competition from 120 athletes, Mid Argyll Athletics Club lifted four titles out of a possible 12 in the club’s annual open sports day.

At Lochgilphead Joint Campus in perfect weather, it was Kintyre athletes who were most successful, winning six out of the 12 age categories, with the Oban area taking two.
