Nelly the Elephant drops into Tarbert

FOUR-year-old Ryan Taylor got to grips with Nelly the Elephant’s trunk on Tarbert Harbour on Saturday. Nelly joined firefighter Steven Black at the annual Tarbert Raft Race in a bid to raise money for the Strathclyde Fire Brigade Benevolent Fund. The fund supports firefighters injured on duty as well as local charities and initiatives. The Tarbert Church Fund will get a share of the £1,200 raised by Tarbert firefighters at the weekend.
