Allt Dearg wind farm gets green light

SUPPORTERS of Allt Dearg Community Wind Farm breathed a sigh of relief last Thursday as councillors gave the development the green light. Argyll and Bute Council’s Planning, Protective Services and Licensing Committee accepted Allt Dearg Wind Farmers’ application for the 12-turbine development at South Knapdale.

TWO more beavers were released into Knapdale this week. On Wednesday June 23, one male and a female, aged two and two and a half years, were set free into the trial site. The animals have come from Norway.

BOTH YOUNG and old alike enjoyed the vintage cars that were on display at Ormsary Estate this weekend. Lord and Lady Lithgow, who own the estate, opened its gates on Sunday afternoon, allowing visitors to room the beautiful gardens and examine the vintage cars.
