LAST Friday, October 2, saw Argyll College students gain qualifications in hairdressing and childcare.
It was the first year that any hairdressing students have graduated from the College, a proud day for course tutor Maria MacKenzie.
Speaking after the graduation ceremony, Maria said: ‘It’s a really good opportunity to have this course in Argyll. The girls are able to learn the same skills here, at home, instead of having to travel to Glasgow. I’m very proud of them all.
‘I’d like to thank the course placements – Marks, Heaven, Loch Fyne and A&K.’
Ali Wright, course tutor in Childcare, said: ‘I’m always delighted when my students achieve. I would also like to thank our course placements; Riverside Rascals, Badden Farm Nursery, Elf’s, Tayvallich pre school and the Joint Campus nursery.’
