Signs put up in the windows more than two weeks ago declared the doors were shut due to emergency electrical works taking place, and that it hoped to be open in the near future.

However, it is believed the hotel has been sold after being on the market for the last few months. None of the hotel management staff were available to comment on the news by the time the Advertiser went to press.
