ARGYLL South Branch of Pony Club held their annual fun day on Sunday June 8 at Skipness by kind permission of Mr Alex MacCuish and the Jensen Foundation.
Lovely weather prevailed for the small but enthusiastic entry with competitors traveling from Arran, Southend and Mid Argyll to join a strong home contingent.
A good handy pony course was set up and judged by Kathrin Becker this proved easier than expected for some, but a stumbling block for others.
Marina MacArthur, Flo Allan and Toni Stewart set up the show jumping course, catering well for everyone from lead rein upwards.
This was the clubs first jumpcross event and it went extremely well with good galloping across a hilly course. This has created a great demand for more opportunities to do this fun activity.
Members are now looking forward to Riding and Road Safety Tests at Glengilp, Camp at Killinonoch and the Cairndow Show.
