COLOURFUL art displays should brighten the entrance to Lochgilphead High School over the next few weeks as primary pupils from across Mid Argyll take part in the Heartstone exhibition.
Schools have been using the Heartstone book to work on issues relating to discrimination including racism, intolerance and xenophobia.
Heartstone is a non-profit making organisation and aims to build contact, communication and understanding across people of different backgrounds, nationalities and cultures.
Attending the official unveiling of the exhibition last Wednesday were Councillor Dick Walsh, Councillor Isobel Strong and Argyll and Bute Council’s director of Community Services, Douglas Hendry.
Councillor Walsh said: ‘It is very important that pupils have an understanding of issues such as equality.
‘I was extremely impressed with the charter produced by the pupils relating to equality and racial issues.’
