Inveraray piping and drumming competition attracts record entry

A RECORD number of 160 competitors flocked to Inveraray last weekend to take part in the Inveraray Junior Piping and Drumming Competition.
Youngsters from as far afield as County Down in Northern Ireland attended the event, with the largest amount of entries ever seen to the competition.
Councillor Donnie McMillan presented the prizes for the afternoon events, with Mrs Jane MacKay presenting the morning prizes.
On behalf of all the judges Walter Cowan spoke of the high quality of the playing and the strength of the competition.
