Concern voiced as town lights are damaged
Published: 04 April, 2008
MEMBERS of Lochgilphead Christmas lights committee have spoken of their disappointment this week at damage to lights in the town.
During last weekend, vandals are believed to have attacked the wiring of the lights at the Baptist Church and McNulty’s Corner.
One member of the committee said: ‘A lot of work and effort was put in by everyone to achieve these lights and people should realise that the damage will have to be paid by the committee.
‘It is very disappointing to see this happen as the lights are for the people of Lochgilphead.’
If anyone has any information on who is responsible for the damage they are asked to contact Lochgilphead police station.
