FOOTBALLER Cammy MacDonald has enjoyed more success recently with his club, Livingston FC.

The 18-year-old from Lochgilphead has made the transition from under-19 Captain, to claim a starting place in the first team, making his début in the recent 6-1 home win again Morton, quickly followed by further games in the League and Scottish Cup.

After impressing in the three wins, Cammy’s agent (former Hearts Player Gary MacKay) hopes to secure an extended contract with his present or other interested clubs.

Cameron: ‘I am delighted the way things have worked out recently and been part of a winning team has made the experience all the more enjoyable. I would like to thank everybody back home for all their messages, calls and support of encouragement, and also those who have travelled through to watch games, especially Murray and Don, my wee brothers.’

Cammy has been fortunate to have the backing of his two local sponsors, www.argyll4sale.net and A & D Watt Plumbing and Heating.

Since pursuing his football career at 15, Cammy has played and trained at under-17, under-19, reserves and first team levels, with Partick Thistle, Rangers, Hibs and Livingston, and has played against every senior football club in Scotland.

All being well and staying injury free, Cammy’s next ambition is to hold down a regular first team place and perhaps score at senior level.
