The Lochgilphead and District Angling Club dinner and presentation of prizes for 2007 was held in the Argyll Arms in Ardrishaig last month.
The club captain and winner of the Roy Clark Cup was Dugald MacGilp. Neil Ward was runner-up and winner of the Ronnie Reid Cup with Murdo McDonald in third place.
The Senior Cup was also won by Dugald MacGilp with Neil Ward in second place.
Brian Thomsen caught the heaviest fish of the club loch competitions and won the John Scott Cup.
The day trip to the Lake of Monteith was very successful. 18 anglers caught 45 Rainbows weighing 75 lbs.
Two other catches of note during the season were Neil Ward’s 14 brown trout weighing 13 lb 1 oz and Archie MacGilp’s brown trout weighing 7 lb 13 oz.
