THIS year’s Ardfern and Craobh Haven Arts Festival opened with a preview of the Wavyline Gallery at Craignish Village Hall last Saturday.
Running until August 19, the community got into the spirit of things by taking part in a pirates parade from the boat yard to the Galley of Lorne Inn.
A weekend music event consisting of four bands will kick off tonight (Friday, August 10), with another four acts to follow on Saturday in the dome at the Galley of Lorne Inn. All the musicians hale from Scottish waters and cover a wide and eclectic range of both styles and ages.
On Friday it all starts with a local band hailing from Ardrishaig and surrounding area. The Anyways are also the youngest musicians appearing over the weekend.
On Saturday the night will begin with two players who can’t be bettered. Kenny Brady a singer songwriter, guitarist and fiddle player of huge talent and presence teams up with James Miller, a guitarist and singer songwriter in his own right.
Neil McInee, who performs under the name of BOX, promises an audio visual treat for all with ambient and techno soundscapes and visuals and projections to match. A first for the Elementals but one to watch.
