WOMEN’S shinty team Dunadd Camanachd held their end of season awards dinner last month to celebrate the achievements of the past year. 
THERE were celebrations and jubilations at Ropework Park on Sunday as Red Star Under 13s won their first game for four months,beating Dumbarton Riverside 6-0. 
THE MID Argyll leg of the Argyll sports hall athletics championships took place in Lochgilphead on Sunday. 
A LOCHGILPHEAD athletics coach,who has been helping to manage the sport across the area for more than 30 years,accepted an MBE in the New Year’s Honour List. 
Lochgilphead Under17s lost a close game against Easthall Star in Glgasow at the indoor Regional Football centre,Toryglen on December 30 2011.
Lochgilphead Red Star Under 13s played 11-a-side football for the first time this season,and as they went into the Christmas break they had played eight,won two and lost six.
