A CHURCH of Scotland minister has praised the ‘generosity and kindness’ of the people of Argyll in response to the humanitarian crisis unfolding across Europe.

Shocking media images of a small boy lying face down in the sand on a Turkish beach played no small part in spurring ordinary people into action.
Donations have been handed in to various collection points, including Lochgilphead Parish Church.
