Inveraray locks horns with Kyles Athletic in Camanachd Cup final

A CELEBRATION of south shinty will take place at Mossfield,Oban,this Saturday,September 15 2012,when Kyles Athletic and Inveraray lock horns in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup final.

North teams have dominated the competition in recent years – Inveraray were the last south team to win it in 2004 – but shinty’s premier competition will be decided by two Argyll teams in Argyll in 2012.

In fact,Saturday’s game will be the first all-south final to be played in the south area and is the first all-south final since 1983,when Kyles beat Strachur and District 3-2.
