THE INAUGRAL Tarbert Traditional Boat Festival has been deemed a great success by organisers as locals and visitors turned out to take part in a fun-filled weekend.
The festival, designed to celebrate the range of vessels on Scotland’s waters, saw 30 boats sail into Tarbert Harbour on Friday,July 13 2012.
The boats, which chart the changes in vessels through the ages, were lined up for locals and visitors to look at,whilst a host of shore-side activities also kept people entertained.
Dozens of Dookers descended on the harbour on Saturday morning as the greasy pole competition and rowing races got underway.
