David Payne, father of NeverSeconds blogger Martha Payne, has met with Argyll and Bute Council Leader Roddy McCuish.
Martha,9,a pupil of Lochgilphead Primary School, has attracted worldwide support for her blog that features photographs of her school meals, which she rates on taste and healthiness.
Argyll and Bute Council decided on Friday June 15 2012 to ban the youngster from taking pictures following inflammatory headlines in a newspaper but later overturned the ban following a global backlash.
The council said it was pleased with the outcome of the discussions with Mr Payne and looked forward to his continued dialogue with the council.
Councillor Roddy McCuish said:‘It was good to finally meet with Mr Payne. It is amazing that a wee girl from Lochgilphead has managed to change the way we all look at school meals, and has raised a fortune for Mary’s Meals.’
David Payne said:‘I am delighted to have had discussions with Argyll and Bute Council and we will shortly be announcing our future plans for NeverSeconds and we are confident that even more money will be raised for Mary’s Meals.’
