Lochgilphead’s Myles Clark,aged 18,carried the torch and Olympic flame 300 metres through Tarbet village on Saturday,June 9 2012 –one of only two Argyll villages to host the torch.
Speaking to the Advertiser after one of the ‘best’ experiences of his life,Myles said he was grateful to be able to keep the torch and put it on display for his fellow pupils to enjoy at Lochgilphead Joint Campus,inspiring and motivating hundreds of young people across Mid Argyll.
