Tarbert householders ‘outraged’ at lack of compensation

Many were without power after the January 8 2012 storm

HOUSEHOLDERS in Tarbert are ‘outraged’ after a local energy provider said it would not provide compensation to people that had been left without power for four days.

A number of people have received a letter from Scottish Southern Electric (SSE) this week stating they would not be entitled to a £75 good will payment, despite being some of the worst effected people in the January 8 storms.

To find out why they will not be paid, see the Argyllshire Advertiser, April 27 2012 or on line at www.argyllshireadvertiser.co.uk/digital
