Managers at Auchindrain Township Museum have said they are working to secure the long-term future of the historic site.
This comes after Argyll and Bute Council awarded the museum a one-off payment of £20,000 to ensure its survival in 2012-13.
The museum trust says it is working with Historic Scotland to find the best way of ensuring the museum’s future.
