ROWING and boat-building enthusiasts are being urged to join the Rollicking Rowing Club as Lochgilphead High School embarks on an innovative new project.
Pupils,parents and staff at the school have launched the club in an attempt to build a St Ayles Skiff boat and form a coastal rowing team.
Taking part in a nation-wide project to reinvigorate the sport of coastal rowing,the pupils are both building and training in a bid to start rowing around the Argyll coastline.
‘An indoor rowing league has been established to get members in shape and adult members are currently restoring two small skiffs,kindly donated by Adam Way,of A &R Way Boatbuilding,’teacher Alec Ohnstad said.
