LIFE in Mid Argyll has finally returned to normal this week after a storm left many residents without power and a telephone signal for five days.
Hundreds of people throughout the county were left with no heat, hot water, hot food or means of communication after one of the worst storms in recent history, which saw gusts of up to 100 mph hit Argyll last Tuesday.
Rural areas including Tarbert,Minard and Inveraray were amongst the worst affected with power only being restored to Tarbert and Kilberry on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
On Wednesday,Scotland’s only mobile cinema,Screen Machine, brought more than the latest movies to Tarbert– it provided heat and light to villagers who had been without power for over 36 hours.
