THERE was shock in the community of Lochgilphead last week after popular local hostelry,the Argyll Inn,suddenly closed its doors.
Franchisee Odran Francis finally shut the pub on December 28,with a notice put in the window to advise locals that the closure was due to ‘unforeseen circumstances.’
Its closure means there is no dedicated function suite in the town,with the nearest available licensed premises in Ardrishaig.
